Before you ask: No, I am not emo.
The story behind the initial quote was that I woke up next to an open window to the first quite chilly day of the upcoming autumn season, it was raining hard, relatively dark for the time of day and I thought, while convincing myself to get up and take a shower:
Sometimes it's good not to have a girlfriend, because otherwise ... (see above)
In the end I turned up at work. Oh and yes - neither rain nor clouds lasted the day, although it stayed quite chilly.
